Where I store my trailer, there might not be enough space to fold out the SolidStep. How much space is required to the right of the trailer as you swing this model of SolidStep through the horizontal position?

That's kind of a hard figure to give out since the legs of the Solidstep part # LC698799 are adjustable but realistically you'd need about 4 feet of clearance to the side of your RV for the steps to be able to swing out and fit properly.
