The Reese Mounting Bracket Kit, part # RP58186, is designed for Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 with overload springs.

For your 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab 6 foot bed, without overload springs, you will need the Reese Quick Install Custom Bracket Kit, part # RP50140. These brackets are vehicle-specific that will mount to existing holes in your vehicles frame. It cuts down on the installation time when compared to the universal mounting brackets.

This bracket kit will need to be used with the Reese Universal Base Rails, part # RP58058, to give you the complete fifth wheel installation kit.

If you need the complete kit of base rails and brackets you would order the Reese Quick-Install Custom Base Rails and Installation Kit, part # RP50140-58, which includes all of the brackets, rails, and hardware for fifth wheel installation.

Remember that a sliding fifth wheel hitch will need to be used for clearance on a truck with a 6 foot bed.
