Underbed Kit for 2018 Ford F-250 2WD for Gooseneck and 5th Wheel Hitch
Question:
Hello! Im interested in installing an under-bed 5th wheel/gooseneck kit on my 2WD 2018 F-250 that did not come with the factory prep kit. Do you have a kit that does not require lifting the bed to install? I don't have access to a hoist and don't want to take it to a shop if possible. Thanks!

There is absolutely a way for you to add an underbed kit to your 2WD 2018 Ford F-250 that is going to allow you to pull either a gooseneck trailer or 5th wheel trailer, though there are no aftermarket systems similar to OEM puck systems because of how difficult those would be to install.
Instead, what you will need is the Custom Underbed Installation Kit for B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWGNRK1116-5W for a 2-Wheel Drive. This kit will allow you to install what many consider is the best 5th wheel hitch in the industry, the B&W Companion, while also doubling as a gooseneck hitch which is also regarded as the best hitch for gooseneck towing. You will be able to install either of these hitches/install kits without having to remove the bed of your F-250 as they install in the frame rails of your truck.
The correct 5th wheel hitch is then going to depend on if you have a short bed or long bed '18 F-250. If you have a short bed you need the sliding B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with Slider # BWRVK3400-5W and if you have a long bed you will need the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W.
As I mentioned, this hitch is considered the best, and the reason for that is the full 1" thick jaws which provide a total connection with your king pin, meaning no slack in the jaws so the rattling, chucking and jarring that occurs with lesser hitches simply is not an issue with the Companion.
I have added links to video reviews for you to check out as well.
