Fifth Wheel Hitch Solution for Truck with Service Body Bed and Gooseneck Hitch
Question:
What would be the best setup for an 2012 F-350 Dually with a service body on it? Any help with this setup would be greatly appreciated. Im scheduled to have a Gooseneck hitch installed on Monday so please help!!

Installing a fifth wheel hitch can be challenging on a service body truck since the frames are different and there aren't rail kits made specifically for them. But are you really having a gooseneck hitch installed? That's a totally different setup than a 5th wheel but it's easy to confuse them.

The gooseneck hitch will be recessed but will not be behind the axle.

Demco makes a special version of their really great Recon gooseneck ball to fifth hitch for flat bed applications that have recessed balls similar to your service body so what you'd want is the part # DM8550046.
