Can a 4 Inch Round Trailer Tail Light Be Riveted On  

Question:

I have a rivet gun and wanted to use it to mount these lights to my trailer. It looks like the outside frame of these lights are plastic. Do you think its strong enough to not crack if I use my rivet gun to mount the lights? Thanks!

The LED Trailer Tail Light w/ Reflector part # STL13RFHXB could hold up to a rivet gun or it could not, there are really too many variables to advise on this but if you were to use the Stainless Steel Trim Ring part # A5TRSSB over the mounting flange I believe that would then allow you to use a rivet gun without breaking the plastic. There is also the option of the Peterson Trailer Tail Light w/ Stainless Steel Housing part # 429800 but this has an incandescent bulb, not an LED.
