Can The Yakima LongArm Provide 42" Of Arm Height
Question:
My 2019 Toyota Tundra Crewmax measures 38inch from the top of opening of the receiver hitch. Am I going to be limited to the last straight up setting of the long arm in order to mount a kayak using the Yakima Bed Rock or are there other adjustments to raise it to approximately 42inch at the 3rd setting?

Expert Reply:
The Yakima LongArm Truck Bed Load Extender # Y01149 has three different height positions. When in vertical position, these measurements are taken from the top of the tongue to the top of the crossbar. Low: 40" Mid: 41 3/8" High: 42 3/4" . The third measurement provided of 42-3/4" is the highest setting available using the height extension in that 90 degree position. Within an inch of your target height while not perfectly level, this solution would still work for mounting your kayak.
