Where do Reese Fifth Wheel Rails Install in Bed of 2005 Ford F-150

Question:

Hello I purchased a Reese frame / rail kit for my 2005 yr. F150. 6.5 bed length . I have lost the instruction sheet . I need the measurement from the rear end of bed to the first /rear rail for drilling holes into the bed . I can figure out the rear hole set after locating the first set of holes . Thank You

When installing a universal Reese fifth wheel rail kit like the # RP30035 the rear rail edge will need to be exactly 32-1/2 inches from the rear edge of the truck bed. Once you have that placed you can then use a hitch to line up and place the front rail. This will put the king pin of the trailer 4 inches ahead of the axle center.

I attached a picture I took from the install sheets for the # RP30035 for you to check out as well.
