Is It Normal for Husky Center Line WD System Spring Bars to Wear Down Lift Brackets

I’m wondering if our Husky centerline was installed correctly. The bars seem to have a ton of tension and they are already wearing a bad groove in the saddles mounted on the trailer frame. Is this normal?

I reached out to my contact at Husky and also sent him the photo you attached of the frame bracket on your Husky Center Line Weight Distribution System # HT32218. He said a little wear on the lift brackets is normal due to metal-on-metal friction. With that being said if the bars are wearing a bad groove like you described (it's hard to see the extent of the wear in the picture) then the tension likely does need to be backed off a bit.

You can do this by adjusting the tilt of the weight distribution head or by changing the frame bracket hole spacing. Also make sure you are lubricating the lift brackets with axle bearing grease before each trip, which helps with this friction during travel.

Please just let me know if you have any trouble or if anything else comes up.
