Is the Thule Hitching Post Pro Available With A 2 Inch Shank Only

Question:

I have a 2006 Toyota 4Runner with a 2 in. hitch. I dont want to use an adaptor sleeve over a 1.25 in. shank to fit it to my 2 in. hitch. Does this model come with a 2 in. shank and if not what other similar racks would?

We have a solution for you but there is not a version of the Thule Hitching Post Pro - Folding Tilting 4 Bike Rack # TH934XTR with a 2" shank to get around using an adapter sleeve. That is also the case for other Thule hanging style racks, with the exception of the Thule Apex Swing XT # TH9027XT.

For a tilting, hanging style bike rack with a dedicated 2" shank around the same price range, I recommend the Swagman Trailhead # S63390. It's a solid option with dual, folding arms with anti sway cradles that provide excellent bike support and an anti-rattle pin and clip to eliminate any play between your receiver and the rack.

In case you still need an adapter bar for curved frame bikes, the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar for Women's, Children's, and Alternative Frame Bikes # 64005 is a great choice many of our customers have had success with.
