Since wiring color can vary by trailer manufacturer it is a good idea to test the wires for function on the trailer or make sure they trace back to the correct circuit before matching up wiring on the light part # TLL160RK. It is not always reliable to go by wire color. You may also want to check the main ground on the trailer is properly grounded to a clean bare metal surface of the frame. Also check the wiring for any frayed or damaged wire that may need to be replaced. Since the light is a new installation it is most likely the ground or it is not wired to the correct function.
