Recommended Sliding 5th Wheel Hitch for 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 with Factory Pucks

Hello. I am looking for a really good hitch, 5th wheel. Just picked up my 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500. It has the short bed and the prep kit for attaching a hitch. What would you recommend? Thank you.

For your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the short bed I highly recommend the B&W Companion Slider OEM 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3775 for a few reasons.

The Companion features robust 1" thick dual jaws that provide full contact with the king pin. What this does in real life is create an extremely secure connection to the trailer while also allowing for a smooth, enjoyable towing experience. A lot of the rattle and movement that you get at the connection point with most other hitches simply won't be present with this type of jaw system.

The cam-action latching handle does a really great job of preventing binding and is easy to release, even when parked on unlevel ground. This is one of those features that you really appreciate after using a different model hitch that doesn't have this type of design.

The Companion also has a fully articulating head which eases hookup since you don't have to be perfectly in-line when backing up the truck, but also adds to the ride quality as the pivoting action helps to limit any chucking on the road.
