When Upgrading from 14 inch to 15 inch Trailer Tire/Wheel Size Does Wheel Width Have to Match

Question:

Hello, Im looking to go one wheel size up on the tt. Reason is that my trailer is lifted axle under springs and the wheel looks so tiny now. Im not doing this to increase load capacity, just cosmetics and perhaps any other benefits that a larger wheel will give. Unfortunately, 15x4.25 seem to be impossible to find. Should I just leave well enough alone rather than to monkey with finding the correct 4.25 to 4.50 lug adapter plates? Hub centering and durability are a concern. Thanks! 14x4.25 to 15x4.50 rim conversion

To bump up to a larger wheel tire and size from a 14 inch to a 15 inch setup does not require you to match the wheel widths like you mentioned. You'd just need to go with a wheel that has the correct bolt pattern and size you are wanting like the Westlake part # LHAW320 which is a tire sized ST205/75R15 on a great looking 10 spoke wheel.

I attached a review video for this for you to check out as well.

Your wheels center on the lug nuts which means you don't have to match the pilot diameter of the wheel.
