Customer Tips for Installing Draw Tite Hitch 76023 on 2019 GMC Acadia
Question:
I originally was scared to put this in myself, but I did it anyway. The one post on your page said a guy installed it without removing all the rear bumper plastic and thats what I did. Everything was pretty easy and the only thing that would have saved me time was if I knew instead of putting the hitch in and then the bumper, it really only works because of the tight space to temporarily bolt the two together and put in as one unit, it will work! Put small 2 temporary bolts through the bottom holes of the hitch and bumper and then remove them once it is hung on the top bolts in place. Other than that a little moving around on the exhaust and you have it. I DID IT!!! I ended up cutting a small hole for the hitch in the plastic and put two braces back in place of the stock ones to hold back plastic bumper cover tight. LOOKS GREAT!!!! and I did it myself!!!!
