Question:
I purchased the 5th wheel to gooseneck adapter from y’all used it once with my factory puck ball system I’m now seeing I can’t use it with a ford ball can u explain why. Also is there another ball out there that I can purchase that will fit in my puck system I’m seeing bandw and curt but I’m not sure which one to purchase I’ve already spent this money on the adapter I don’t want the ranch style or anything like that plz help ty.

The reason that the Ford gooseneck system isn't compatible with the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter # CAB-C5G is because the Ford gooseneck hitch ball has a plastic tab on top that will become ruined (see attached picture).
You can use either the Curt # C60692 or the B&W # BWGNXA2061 with the Convert-A-Ball adapter though. I recommend the B&W because the operating handle is completely out of the way of the adapter but either option will work just fine.
