7-Way Trailer Connector for a 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500

I need to add a 7 pin trailer wiring connector to my 2019 MB Sprinter 2500. I have a hitch but I don't have any wiring yet.

To add a 7-Way trailer wiring connector to your 2019 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 you first need to add the T-One # 118649 which gives you the basic trailer lighting functions. Once that is installed you can then use the Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7 to add fully-functional 4-Way and 7-Way connectors at the back of your Sprinter. A no-drill bracket like part # 18136 can be used to hold these connectors near the hitch receiver.

Typically when a 7-Way is needed it's because the trailer has electric brakes that need to be activated. If this is the case then you also need a brake controller. For that I recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite # RED44FR because it is one of the leading brake controllers and it's designed so that you can install it virtually anywhere in your Sprinter. The control knob is much smaller than the traditional brake controller that has earned the nickname "knee-knocker" over the years.

Since you don't have any tow package you'll need to use a circuit tester with an LED test light # PTW2992 so that you can connect the Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751475 to activate the brake signal for the Tow-Pro Elite when you step on your brake pedal.

You can skip finding the stop light switch if you'd like to by going with the Curt Echo # C51180 brake controller instead as the settings are adjusted via Apple or Android smart device and the controller itself just plugs right into the 7-Way at the back and nothing needs to be connected in the cab of your Sprinter.

Attached are some review and installation videos that you can reference for the installation.
