Question:
I recently purchased a 2013 Honda CRV and I currently own the Thule Pulse XT XL. My CRV has factory side rails but currently no crossbars. Unfortunately the mount points for crossbars are non adjustable with this particular set up. As is, there is no way I could mount a box that could accommodate 195 cm skis and still be able to open the rear hatch. By my estimate the distance from the fixed front mount to rear hatch is about 48”. I would need approximately 51” to accommodate this box. My question is can I in some way mount crossbars on the side rails further forward than the fixed mount positions. My issue seems to be similar to this previous question. Would this also be the best bet in my case? Thanks!

The naked roof racks that fit your 2013 Honda CR-V do put the front bar significantly closer to the windsheild like with the Rhino Rack part # RRVA137B-2, # RRRLKVA, and # DK284 we have installed on a 2013 CR-V so this would be the way to go.
I attached a picture that shows the front bar is more than the amount of inches forward that you would need plus an install video on a similar 2014 CR-V as well.
Question:
Thank you for your assistance. Would the Yakima Baseline system be compatible with the factory side rail? If so, which products would I need?
