Question:
I need a fifth wheel hitch for my 2019 Ram 2500 long bed with the factory holes in the bed for installing a hitch. I like the B & W Companion. How much would something like that weigh? Is it something that one person could get in and out of the bed without too much trouble?

The fifth wheel hitches weigh anywhere from around 175 lbs up to about 250 lbs. This being said, some of them like the B&W Companion # BWRVK3600 can be easily broken down into two more manageable pieces with the hitch head weighing about 65 and the legs weighing about 135. There are other hitches that break down into lighter component parts like the Reese # RP30918 but the head is more difficult to remove.
To further make installation/removal easier, if you have a hoist available B&W offers a lifter # BWRVXA3130 that can be locked into the hitch and provide a secure lift point. Without a hoist, I'd recommend using two people to handle the leg portion of the hitch.
