Recommended Wiring Kit for Towing with a 2020 Toyota RAV4

Thank you for all of the info! I'd be happy to help you choose a wiring kit to use with your Curt Trailer Hitch # C13416 on your 2020 Toyota RAV4.

The best option is the Tekonsha T-One # 118801 simply because it has higher amp ratings and we have found the converter box to last longer than other brands. The Curt T-Connector # C56434 is a good choice and you wouldn't be unhappy if you wanted to go that route to stick with the Curt brand, but the T-One is a higher quality so that is my recommendation. I have attached installation videos for both wiring options that you can reference.

To complete a towing setup you also need a ball mount kit. I recommend checking out Ball Mount Kit # 989900 because it includes two ball mounts, one with a 3/4” rise/2” drop and the other with a 2-3/4” rise/4” drop, a 1-7/8” hitch ball, a 2” hitch ball, and a pin and clip. You will want to refer to the attached ball mount article to ensure that this kit is correct for your towing application.

If you don't already have a bike rack then I also recommend the Thule Apex XT # TH9024XT which is a very sleek looking 2-bike rack that includes bike/rack locks, easy-to-use features, as well as adjustable cradles to help accommodate a variety of bike size. If any of your bikes do not have a horizontal top tube then you will need the Adapter Bar # TH982XT as well to help keep the bike(s) level and promote better ground clearance.
