The B&W Companion Fifth Wheel Hitch is our most often recommended fifth wheel hitch because of how well it's constructed, how durable it is and because of the superior ride quality offered by the super-bombproof jaw system the hitch uses. The majority of complaints we receive about 5th wheel hitches are about the banging and shaking that occurs when the tow vehicle accelerates or brakes. This is caused by a poor fit between the 5th wheel's king pin and the hitch jaws. The Companion uses an inch thick jaw that grips the king pin tightly enough that there's almost no play between the pin and the hitch.

The actual hitch setup you'd need will depend on whether or not your Sierra is equipped with the factory puck mounts in the truck bed.

If you have the puck mounts, use # BWRVK3710 for a 20K or # BWRVK3715 for a 25K capacity. After some slight initial adjustments outlined in the installation details, the hitch can be dropped into place and latched in place in just a minute or two.

If you don't have the pucks, the installation will be more involved. You'd use the # BWRVK3500-5W hitch and the # BWGNRK1020-5W mount kit. The mount kit is actually the B&W Turnover Ball Gooseneck hitch, so once installed, you'll be able to tow both 5th wheel and gooseneck trailers. This combination has a 20K capacity

If you don't already have one, you can install a trailer connector in the truck bed using # 20110.
