Question:
I'm looking for a hitch for my 20119 Volkswagen Golf R model, what is the difference between the ecohitch and draw tite?

The main difference between the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24975 and EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7332 is the receiver tube size. The EcoHitch has a 2" receiver tube instead of 1 1/4" on the Draw-Tite. 2" receivers have the widest variety of accessories, that's why I would highly recommend the EcoHitch.
Both hitches are going to have the same weight ratings, 2,000 Lbs GTW. The EcoHitch has a higher tongue weight capacity of 300 Lbs (the Draw-Tite is 200 Lbs). If you going to use it for a bike rack, the total weight of the bikes and the rack need to be 300/200 lbs or less, the same for cargo carriers.
For a hitch mounted bike rack I really like the Kuat Transfer 2 Bike Platform Rack # KU74FR. It has a really unique design that makes it easy to load and unload the bikes, along with a raised shank, which definitely will help with ground clearance on your Golf R.
