The head of the B and W Companion hitch you have part # BWRVK3500-5W can be transferred to a hitch base that will fit the factory rail kit of your 2020 Chevy Silverado short bed. Since you have a short bed truck you'd need the slider base part # BWRVB3775 so that you have turning clearance. But if instead you didn't need the turning clearance you could use the fixed base part # BWRVB3710. Most of the time short bed trucks need a slider to allow you to have clearance between the cab of the truck and the nose of the trailer, but if you have a trailer with a tapered nose and an extended pin box you wouldn't need the slider.
