Question:
Do I have to cut the bumper to install a hitch on my 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon. If so, how much? Not thrilled about cutting into a new vehicle...

Yes, you will need to trim a very small portion of the rear bumper fascia in order to install a trailer hitch on a 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon. That said, this portion of the rear bumper fascia is at the very bottom and will not be visible from outside the vehicle. I have attached a photo that shows the required cutout for the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C67JR as well as an install photo which as you can see, the cut is not visible. The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is an excellent option with hidden design so you won't see a cross tube therefore retains a factory-like appearance and it also means you won't sacrifice as much ground clearance.
If you will be using the trailer hitch for towing then you will also want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56040 which is a direct plug and play option with no wire splicing required.
