Comparing Demco Hijacker and PullRite SuperGlide 5th Wheel Hitch for 2020 Ram 2500
Question:
Hi! Wondering if you can help me make a decision here. I had been looking at the superglide 5th wheel hitch for my 2020 ram 2500 but just came across the demco hijacker unit that you offer. Would you mind comparing the two and maybe offering your recommendation? Thank you

Both the Demco Hijacker 5th Wheel Hitch # DM8550034 and PullRite SuperGlide Hitch are excellent autoslide units that let you stay inside the comfort of your cab when making tight maneuvers on the road, however I do think the Demco Hijacker offers a couple of upgrades over the SuperGlide that make it my recommendation.
For starters, while both hitches feature a single-jaw system, the Hijacker also includes an additional 3/4" thick solid steel locking bar to reinforce this connection and create an even smoother ride during travel.
The Hijacker, unlike the SuperGlide, also offers three different height settings that let you maintain a level ride height for the trailer when hooked up. You can also use this to increase clearance between the trailer's overhang and the bed rails on your truck, which tend to get a bit higher with each passing model year. The Hijacker has height settings of 15-1/4", 1-1/2" and 18". The SuperGlide cannot be adjusted in this manner.
Finally, the Demco Hijacker also comes with integrated brackets on the head that help stabilize the pin box at the connection point. The PullRite would require the purchase of a separate capture plate for this purpose.
I have attached video demonstration of the Hijacker below that you can also check out.
