How to Ground Custom Third Brake Light Camera for 8" Factory Monitor For Ford F-250/F-350 Super Duty
Question:
On the small flat interface piece, there is a wire marked ground although the end is capped. I didnt see this wire hooked to a ground in the video. I am assuming it is not used although it is clearly marked as a ground wire.

Expert Reply:
The ground wire from the Custom Third Brake Light Camera for 8" Factory Monitor - Night Vision part # 3460001 needs to be grounded to the steel brace that runs across the dash using a ring terminal and self tapping screw. If the unit does not have a decent ground it will not work properly. If you take a look at the attached video starting at the time stamp of 12:20 our installer shows how to ground the camera.
