John,Thanks and I have another question, were using a tow dolly instead of 4 down in case that changes your thoughts.

There should be no problem hauling kayaks on the roof of your vehicle that is on the tow dolly. I would highly recommend using plenty of straps to get your kayaks safely secured to the roof rack.
