Best Trailer Brake Controller and Trailer Wiring Harness for 2020 Honda Odyssey
Question:
I am installing the etrailer hitch e98855 on my 2020 Honda Odyssey and also have Ball Mount Kit EBMK4 in my cart. What I need now is what you think the best wiring harness is and also the best trailer brake controller? What do you think?

The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98855 and Ball Mount Kit # EBMK4 are great initial choices so you can get towing with your 2020 Honda Odyssey. To complete a safe towing set up, you do need a harness and brake controller, and the best wiring harness is the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118781 because it is the most reliable wiring harnesses for your Odyssey.
You will also need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7 for installation of these controllers.
As for a brake controller, "best" can mean a couple different things, so I'll give you the three best options for your 2020 Honda Odyssey based on different factors.
- Best for Ease of Use: Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180
- Best for Overall Control of Trailer Braking: Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller # RED44FR
- Best Budget-Friendly Option: Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 with Brake Controller Harness # 20127
The Echo is the easiest to use because just plugs into the 7-way on the back of your 2020 Honda Odyssey and you set it up and monitor it with your smartphone. The Recarc Tow-Pro gives you the most control because its control knob allows you to set the braking power with the twist of the knob. These two units keep a large controller out of your Odyssey's cab, which isn't something that can be said of the Voyager, which is reflected in its price, but it is a very effective controller and a good value for its quality.
I have added links to video reviews and installs for you to check out as well.
