Pole Tongue Adapter and Blue Ox Weight Distribution that Can Be Used B and B Deck Over Trailer

Question:

2016 GMC hd2500 CREW CAB, 4X4 8foot BOX with Firestone air bags 21 foot B and B deck over construction trailer with 2 8000lb axles. This trailer has a pole tongue that is 32inch from the center of the hitch ball to the beginning of where the frame begins to form a v shape. the pole tongue is 3inch wide and 6 inch tall. I want to mount a Blue Ox 20K sway pro weight distribution hitch using the BXW4023 pole tongue adapter. I assume the hitch chain brackets needs to bolt to the pole tongue adapter not clamp on. You do not list a bolt on model on your website but I have found this item on other online offerings? I this an item you can provide me? I also am considering a GenY 21K Boss hitch for shock reduction. will this work well together? Thank you,

The Blue Ox Pole Tongue Adapter part # BXW4023 does fit your frame dimensions and capacity so it would work well with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control # BXW2000 which has a 20k capacity like you are wanting. The clamps would then go over the top of the pole tongue adapter and clamp to them.

Then for a cushioned weight distribution shank you'd want the part # 325-GH-1302 for if you have a 2-1/2 inch hitch.

Question:

Jameson,My trailer is not an underslung hitch style. I am assuming I should not use the BXW2003 model but instead use the BXW2000 model?

Good catch! You are correct you would want the # BXW2000 since your trailer is not underslung (coupler mounts to bottom of frame channels).
