Timbren Axle-Less Suspension For Off Road Trailer
Question:
I have built a small camper and looking to change out the spring axle for a better off road ride. The trailer Rainbow has 4inch channel, I do have to cut off the fenders. Would the Timbren bolt on easily or would added steel be required. Currently the trailer has 205 15inch tires and hitch height is 14inch and my Jeep hitch is 19inch from the ground. Would the 4inch lift be to high with the added tire size 5x5 OEM -2013 Aluminum Jeep Rims - 285-70r17inch tires causing extra tongue weight

There are a few ways to install the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - 4" Lift Spindle - Regular Tires - 3,500 lbs part # ASR3500S06. You do want to keep in mind no matter which way you choose to install the system, there will need to be either a cross member between the two 2 suspension systems, build out the trailer frame or add a cross member.
The only way to install them without adding more steel to the frame would be to bolt the axle-less hanger to the trailer's frame and existing cross member. I have attached a photo of what that looks like. This option of installation does require an existing cross member to install.
If you do not have an existing cross member, you would need to install a piece of 2" square tubing through the integrated square holes in the suspensions. If you do not want to add a cross member, you would need to build out the trailers frame with an extension plate that attaches the trailer's frame to bolt on the suspension.
The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System are designed for trailer tire sizes so I cannot guarantee the Jeep rims and hubs would fit. The spindles are compatible with hubs with the L68149 inner and L44649 outer bearings. With the races L68111 inner, L44610 outer and 10-19 seal. I have attached the diagram of wheel deflection from the frame.
