Best way to lift Haulmark Cargo Trailer

Question:

Does Dexter or anyone else make a verion of this kit K7138400 for a 2.5inch axle? The bolt-on aspect of the kit is appealing but would consider weld on kits as well

You said your axle is 2.5", however that is not a typical size. I suggest that you remeasure the axle, and verify that it is 2.5" and not 2 3/8". Measuring a round tube can be difficult to get a accurate measurement, you could use 4" Carbon Fiber Digital Caliper # PTW80157 to verify, or measure the circumference and divide by pi (3.14159). An easy way to measure is to take a string and wrap it around the axle, then measure the length. It only being off 1/8" leads me to believe that it's really 2 3/8"

If the axle on your Haulmark cargo trailer is above the leaf springs then the Dexter Trailer Springs Over-Under Conversion Kit # K71-384-00 will move the axle below the leaf springs and raise your trailer the amount as your axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack. Keep in mind that this is designed to work with double eye springs only.

If your axle is already under the leaf springs the flip kit won't work, however another way to lift your trailer is the Tandem Axle Lift Kit # RR23QX. This will provide an additional 2-1/4" of clearance and is made for tandem axle trailers.
