Can Trailer Hubs Replace Mobile Home Hubs

Want to change the hubs on car trailer from 15inch mobile home hubs to regular 15inch wheel hubs - what information do I need to be aware of.

To positively determine if you can change your mobile home hubs with trailer hubs we will need to see if a trailer hub will fit your spindle. To determine this you will need either the bearing and seal part numbers from the bearings and seal on the spindle, or you can take some precise measurements to find the inner diameter of the bearings and seals.
That being said, often times you will not be able to find replacement parts for a mobile home axle as they are designed for one time use applications. Replacement parts are simply not available for most mobile home axles. If trailer hubs are available you will most likely have to change your wheels and tires as well because mobile home wheels are typically not compatible with trailer hubs.
But if you can find the bearing numbers or collect the measurements using a set of dial calipers I can check to see if anything is available. To see which measurements are needed, I have added a photo that will show you which measurements need to be taken.
For safety and easier fixes or replacements, your best bet is to replace the mobile home axles with trailer axles.
