Compatibility of HydraStar EOH System with OEM Brake Controller on 2016 Ram Pickup
Question:
I am really interested in adding the HS381-9067 electric over hydraulic marine version to my boat trailer. I have a 2016 Dodge Ram Rebel with factory brake controller system that works good so far with trailers that already have electric brakes. Now I would like to look at adding this to my boats EZ Loader surge trailer galvanized tandem axle rated for 7500lbs. Is the actuator compatible with the factory controller for my Truck?

Yes, the HydraStar Marine Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator w/ Breakaway and 7-Way RV Harness # HS381-9067 is compatible with the OEM brake controller on your 2016 Ram pickup. HydraStar has actually confirmed that it is compatible all the way back to 2010 so as long as your boat trailer has disc brakes you are good to go! If you have drum brakes instead you just need the HydraStar kit # HS381-9066 which has a lower psi rating.
