How Does Gen-Y Torsion Adjustable Ball Mount Compare to Weight Distribution System
Question:
How does this compare with a weight distribution and anti sway hitch mechanism? Better?

Expert Reply:
The Gen-Y Torsion 2-Ball Mount w/ Stacked Receivers # 325-GH-1324 that you referenced doesn't have the same features as weight distribution or sway control so it's hard to compare them. It will cushion the ride quality when you are towing but it won't distribute tongue weight up to the front axle of the tow vehicle like a WD system does and it won't really minimize sway like a sway control system would. So it depends on what it is that you are looking for.
If you have a higher capacity tow vehicle that doesn't necessarily need weight distribution and you aren't experiencing sway this will give you a smoother ride quality and oddly enough will slightly improve fuel mileage as well. It's also much easier to connect and disconnect from than a WD system.
If you wanted the best of both worlds from a weight distribution system and the Gen-Y we have the shank # 325-GH-1302 that has the same cushioning as well as the adjustment shank holes that are compatible with the heads of other systems.
I also attached a link to a review video on this for you to check out too.
