Question:
I want to tow a small 2500 lb tent trailer with my 2020 Dodge Grand Caravan. It has the 3.6 V6 engine. Can the van tow that?

You picked a good vehicle. The Grand Caravan is one of the best available minivans out there from a towing standpoint. The amount you can tow with the vehicle will decrease as you add passengers. With a driver and one passenger plus their luggage, the Grand Caravan can tow 3600 lbs. That decreases to 3450 with 3-5 people or 3000 lbs with 6-7 people.
At the least, you'll need a trailer hitch, a trailer wiring harness, a ball mount and the proper size trailer ball. If you tow in a mountainous area, a transmission cooler is highly recommended. If the trailer has brakes, you'll want to install a 7-way trailer connector and a brake controller to make the brakes operational.
The # e98854 etrailer brand Class III hitch you looked at would work great. For a wiring harness, go with # 118534. for a ball mount, # 2753 would work well and for a trailer ball, use # 19260 for a 1-7/8 inch or 63845 for a 2 inch ball.
If the camper has brakes, the simplest way to go if you have a smartphone would be the Curt Echo, part # C51180. You'd also need the # ETBC7L install kit.
