MaxxFan Hinge Pin Removal for Lid Replacement
Question:
Not sure of best way to remove the hinge pin?

To remove the hinge pin you'll need to remove the Phillips screw from each side of the cover. Then the lift arm supports can be disconnected from the lid, and the new lid can be put in place. You just want to make sure to replace all the hardware you removed to get the lid off.
Fortunately there's not too much involved to install the Replacement Lid for MaxxFan and MaxxFan Plus Roof Vents # MA10A40009K. You can replace it without having to remove the whole fan; only the lid needs to be removed. The lid also comes in white # MA10A40002K if you were looking to match any other vents.
I attached a photo for reference.

After I remove the Phillips screws from each side of the cover, how do I remove the hinge pin that is between the two screws? Do I insert a small diameter nail and tap it to move the hinge pin out?
