Underbed Mounted Gooseneck Hitch for 2003 Ford F-150

Question:

I have 2003 F150 crewcab and need a goose neck hitch. Under bed would be nice but would be fine with above bed 5th wheel rails and adapter ball kit. What are my options?

I have the perfect solution for you with the B&W Turnoverball # BWGNRK1197, which is an underbed mounted gooseneck hitch that can also mount a B&W Companion Slider Hitch # BWRVK3400. The removable ball on the Turnoverball underbed mount stores inside of the hitch to allow you to have a clear truck bed when you're not towing. B&W makes arguably the highest quality towing products on the market, which is shown by the high ratings on virtually every B&W 5th wheel and gooseneck hitch we carry. I also prefer the B&W since it is compatible with the flare-side and step-side versions of the 2003 Ford F-150, so it will work no matter which model you've got. The B&W Turnoverball does not require any drilling into the vehicle frame in order to install the frame mounted brackets on your truck.

The other available underbed gooseneck kits available for your 2003 Ford F-150 are all manufactuered by Curt and are not compatible with the flare-side or step-side versions of the truck bed. I've listed a few of them below that you may want to also have a look at:

Curt # C60722 (no drilling required for installation)
Curt # C630-637 (no drilling required for installation)
Curt # C61652-637 (no drilling required for installation)
Curt # C61506-52 (drilling required for installation)

At the end of the day, you can never go wrong with an underbed mounted kit when they're available, since they allow you to have a clear truck bed when you're not towing. If you already have standard 5th wheel rails for your 2003 Ford F-150, you can use the Curt # 16055, which is a gooseneck ball that mounts into industry standard 5th wheel rails.
