Question:
Hello, I have a Ford F250 super duty 2017 with a 2 1/2 inch receiver 8 foot box truck. With my pick up camper in the bed I need a 36 inch extension of a receiver to accept my hitch and ball. I tow a steel trailer with the total weight of 5500 pounds. I also tow an aluminum boat trailer with a total weight of 5500 pounds. I am figuring on the heavy side for both. What hitch extension will work for my application?

If you could get by with just a 34 inch extension we have the Curt part # C45048 which would fit your hitch and has the weight capacity you'd need and would be a really simple solution.
If you do need a longer extension you'd have to go to a Torklift trailer hitch like the # TLF1008-30 so that you could use one of their extensions like # TLE1536 which is 36 inches long. If you absolutely have to have 36 inches of extension this is the best way, but if you could get by with 34 inches the # C45048 would be the easiest solution.
