While you can install a trailer hitch on your 2005 Chevy Silverado 2500, the hitch you referenced is only a fit for the 1500 models so it won't work for your truck. There aren't any hitches designed specifically for a 2500 that has a roll pan bumper so any trailer hitch you get will require you to do some trimming of the bumper.
