Comparing Curt & Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2020 Chevy Equinox

Question:

Can you tell me what the differences are between the curt hitch C77FR and Draw-Tite 76419 for my 2020 Chevy Equinox? They both seem to be the same size 2 inch receiver so why one over the other?

There is very little actual difference between the two trailer hitch receivers that fit your 2020 Chevy Equinox (non-diesel model)

As you can see by the accompanying comparison photo I made for you, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C77FR and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419 have concealed crosstubes, which is a nice look for your Equinox, and have the same 4,500 lb towing and 675 lb tongue weight capacity.

The biggest difference is actually in the installation, with the Draw-Tite not requiring you to enlarge the access holes in the frame rail to get the hardware through to install, an extra step the Curt hitch requires. To avoid that extra step I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76419.

I have added links to the installation instructions of both hitches for you to check out as well as an install video of the Draw-Tite hitch.
