Recommendations for Carrying Bikes and a Cargo Carrier with a 2004 Jeep Wrangler

We have a 2004 Jeep Wrangler. We bought a hitch basket last summer. Is it possible to use the bike rack and still be able to use the basket? We are making a trip to the beach and need extra packing room - but want to take our bikes too. Or is there something else that might work? Thanks so much -

I believe the best option you have for transporting your bikes and having additional cargo room would be for you to install a roof rack on your 2004 Jeep Wrangler and then use a roof rack mounted bike rack to carry each of your bikes. To see the available roof racks for your follow the link I attached and select your roof style.

For a roof mounted bike rack you could use a SportRack Nomad Frame-Mount Bike Carrier # ABR611. This rack attaches to the frame and does not require you to remove the front wheel. Check out the review video I attached for this rack for you to check out.

This would not interfere with you being able to use your hitch basket to carry cargo either.
