How to Determine Correct Replacement Lid for Trailer Vent

We are needing a replacement vent cover for our Lark Trailer. It has either blown off or has disappeared. Therefore, I do not know what type of cover it needs! Can I get this information using the VIN of the trailer?

I can tell you how to determine the correct replacement lid for your trailer vent, though a trailer's VIN doesn't have any information regarding the vent, and replacement parts are not something almost any trailer manufacturer has because they are widely pieced together.

The best option - if you can't find the part number of the vent to try and match a replacement to that - is for you is to refer to the accompanying photo I added, you can see that there are four types of hinges and what you can do is take a look at your vent to see if any of these hinges look like they will attach:

There is a continuous hinge such as the Ventline # BVD0449-A01, 4-point hinge such as the Vent Cover for Jensen Trailer Roof Vents # 63112 and 3-point hinge such as the Replacement Lid for Jensen RV Roof Vent with Metal Base # CAM40153. There is also a universal option, the MaxxAir UniMaxx Universal Replacement Lid for RV and Trailer Roof Vent # MA00-335001.

So you'll simply need to compare your hinge with the ones in the photo and choose the right one based on that. I have added links to our selection of replacement vent lids for you to refer to as well.
