Question:
Are there any real difference between the Curt Hitches #C13144 and #CU64FR? CU64FR looks like the crossmember sits a little higher but neither truly hang low ... why the $75 difference?

The primary difference between the two is that once installed, the # C13144 will be completely visible from the rear of the vehicle. The # CU64FR is designed a bit differently, the hitch crossbar will be concealed behind the bumper with the only visible portion of the hitch being the receiver tube and the safety chain hoops. The # CU64FR is preferred by most because the entire hitch isn't visible. Because we pay more for the hitch and it's more in demand, the # C13144 is priced higher.
If you'll be using the hitch for towing, you'll need a few other items to complete your towing system. For a trailer wiring harness, you'll need # C56040 and a ball mount like # 2923. For a 1-7/8 inch trailer ball, use # 19261 or # 63845 for a 2 inch ball. You'll also need a pin and clip, part # PC3.
I've linked to some installation videos, instruction for both hitches and a photo showing what both hitches look like when installed.
