Recommended Curt 5th Wheel Hitch for a 2018 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed

We have a Cedar Creek 5th wheel with a L05 Long Jaw style pin. Our truck is a 2500 chev. silverado duramax with a 6 foot bed. We are looking at a Curt 16536 Q20 slider. What do you recommend?

The Curt 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch I recommend for a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 short bed is the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider part # C16541 instead of the Curt Q20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ R20 Slider part # C16536. The Curt A20 is the updated version of the Curt Q20 which features an interlocking dual jaw for added security, a one pin head removal system for help getting the unit in and out of the truck bed, and a new torsion mechanism which provides a smoother ride. The Curt A20 is one of my favorite 5th wheel hitch options on the market as it offers a lot of value at an affordable price.

In order to install the Curt A20 or Curt Q20 for that matter on a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 you can use the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit part # C16411-204 which is drill free in regards to the frame. Please note, the sliding hitch is likely still needed even with the longer pin box style.
