TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps for a 2019 Open Range Ultra Lite 2802BH

Question:

I am wondering if product TLA8003 is the right step for my travel trailer? I measured 27 and 5/8 inches wide on the frame mount for my current steps and 31 inches from ground to the bottom of the door. That 31 inch number is close to the point where you go from a 3 step glowstep to a 4 step glowstep. What do you recommend? The trailer is a 2019 Open Range Ultra Lite 2802BH if that helps at all.

The TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps w/ Landing Gear - 3 Steps - 27-1/2" Base # TLA8003 is the correct choice for your 2019 Open Range Ultra Lite 2802BH. The 1/8" difference that you are seeing in the base width isn't enough that this kit won't fit and this is designed for an entry height range of 25-1/2" - 36" so it is perfect for your 31" entry height that you measured.

Attached is a review video for you to check out.

Question:

Great Jon! Thanks for the information! Last question as my wife thought about it last night, we store our camper in a very narrow storage shed, there is probably about two feet on each side of the trailer when parked, what we do right now is unfold the first step and use it to climb into the camper if need be in the shed, would these steps allow us to unfold and step up on the highest step to enter or do they need to be fully extended, and if they need to be fully extended how much space do you need to extend them? I know your website and the torklift website says they can be unfolded in any space but I couldn't find a video or information on how much space they actually need. I hope I am not confusing you with this question. Thanks!

I definitely get what you're saying. I reached out to my contact at TorkLift and he said that the TorkLift GlowStep Revolution Scissor Steps, including the part # TLA8003 that you're interested in, can be moved towards the trailer so they only stick out 12" which is more than enough room for what you need.

Now with it pulled in that close it will almost be more like a ladder due to the geometry, but you will still be able to have access to your camper.
