Will the Tail Lights On a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica Stop Working If Trailer Wiring Fuse Blows

Hi, I have a general question on the Tekonsha #118712 adapter. The question is on the fuse that is installed that protects the power wire running back to the T-connector black box. If this fuse blows will the vehicle lights work? I understand that the power is likely used to power the trailer lights. The concern would be in normal operation with no trailer is it possible for a blown fuse in that power line to cause the rear lights of the van to stop working.

Expert Reply:

The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118712 which is a fit for a 2019 Chrysler Pacifica will not have any effect on the vehicle's tail lights. Therefore, even if the in-line fuse on the power wire which leads from the converter box to the vehicle's battery blow, the vehicle's tail lights will still work just fine.

If you don't already have a trailer hitch picked out, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76046 is what I recommend because of the hidden cross tube so you will get the best/cleanliest look.I have attached install videos for you as well.
