Recommended Hitch for 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid That Still Allows Use of Hands Free Lift Gate

Question:

Need a 2 inch hitch for my bike rack that was purchased from you. The rack has the wheel rings that a bikes set in. My concern is that the RAV4 has a hands free motion activated life gate. Which hitch should I buy and will the hands free feature still work? Thanks,

In most cases, you can add a hitch like the Curt # C13416 to your 2020 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and not completely lose the functionality of your hands-free lift-gate. You will likely be limited in the area of the bumper that the hitch receiver tube sits near, but the area to the left and right of the receiver should still allow you to operate the lift-gate. I prefer the Curt hitch to the Draw-Tite since the Draw-Tite may require some specialized tools to install and the Curt hitches generally have a little bit better powder coating on them, that will do a much better job of fighting off corrosion than the Draw-Tite.
