Question:
I just got the Hopkins Diodes from you to wire my Ford Edge It has a combined Tail, Brake and turn bulb and a seperate Tail light bulb that serves a a side marker on each side of the car. there are seperate feeds to the Tail light bulbs both Purple Wires. My question is can I use one feed into the diode and power both bulbs just cappping off other hot feed from the car or would I be better off just wiring the main bulb and not bother with the second tail light bulb. I know I would not want to connect both hot wires into the diode.

To wire a 2008 Ford Edge with Diodes for flat towing, you will actually need a total of 6 diodes OR you need to use the 4 you have and a Brake-lite Relay, # RM-88400. To add two diodes use # RM-792. I have included a link to the instructions for the 6 diode wiring method.
The Brake-Lite relay is needed on vehicles with separate lighting if the towed car is wired using a 4-diode kit (instead of a 6-diode kit). There are additional diagrams and instructions for the relay on the product page.
