Question:
I would like to replace the existing flat, 4 way, plug on my boat trailer with a round plug like the subject which would go directly into the round female conn. on my truck. I hate having to keep up with a 7 to 4 way adapter! I have enough cable coming from the trailer, so this 1foot cable would be just fine. If I decide to go with this, which wires would I use to connect to my boat trailer wires i.e. - white, green, yellow and brown? Also, any suggestions on what to do about the wires not needed? Thanks for the help!

We actually put together a kit here to upgrade a trailer with a 4-way to a 7-way with the part # e99011. You'll cut off the 4-way you have on your trailer and wire it to this junction box which will then give you an active 7-way. You'll be able to just match the colors on your 4-way to the colors in the junction box and you'll be set.
Wires not needed can be left off as needed.
