Question:
Ive read through the questions and answers and found two different responses. One saying that the bumper cover will need to be removed and a second saying that it will not need to be removed. Also when I click on the instruction sheet, I get a response that the file is not found. Could you please look into this and check to make sure the link is correct for the instructions. I plan on buying the etrailer trailer hitch but want to read through the instruction manual first. Thank you

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C67JR which is a fit for a 2020 Subaru Outback Wagon and an excellent option will require you to remove the rear bumper cover as it installs behind the bumper beam. This is what allows it to have the hidden look. However, I do have one option for you that does not require you to remove the rear bumper and that is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # DT73RR. That said, you do lose the hidden design but that's the trade off of an easier install. If you don't mind seeing the cross tube on the hitch then the Draw-Tite hitch is what I recommend.
If you will be towing then you'll also need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118467 which is plug-n-play and the etrailer Ball Mount Kit part # 989900 but that will have you covered.
