Recommended Roof Rack and Kayak Carriers for 2019 Ford Escape Titanium with Raised Side Rails
Question:
we have the Factory side raised rails that run front to back, but are wanting to add the cross bars and kayak holders. I have read several that require drilling which these dont say I like but then there are many options that may or may not work and having a hard time matching up and getting answers from local dealer about install and times or if we can do ourselves. We Like the idea and look of the Folding J prospects with the padding since we do have the panoramic roof. and want to protect and yet have secure as possible for the 2 kayaks, at this time we have a 8foot and 10.

Most roof rails that attach to the factory raised side rails, like the Curt Roof Rack # C18118 do not require any type of drilling. Most of these parts are just going to clamp on your existing raised rails and will be extremely easy to install.
For kayak carriers, I recommend using the etrailer J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount # e98878, which will fit nicely on the Curt aero style bars and securely carry your 8' and 10' kayaks on your 2019 Ford Escape. These are J-style carriers with padded bars that will keep your boats from slipping around on top of the carriers when traveling. These are a great, pocketbook friendly choice that are very similar to some of the ones offered by the major brands and come with tie down straps included.
