Will the Kuat Sherpa Bike Rack Work With a Bike That Has 49 Inch Wheelbase

The Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack part # SH22G is only compatible with bikes that have a wheelbase up to 47" so it will not work for a bike that has a 49" wheelbase. That said, I do have a very similar option that is just as good and it will work with a 49" wheelbase, the Thule T2 Pro XTR 2 Bike Platform Rack part # TH83JV.

The T2 like the Sherpa has a wheel mount design, comes with both hitch/bike locks, and folds for storage/tilts for hatch access. Unlike the Sherpa, you can purchase a two bike add-on down the line if you need to carry more bikes.
